July 2023 - Debbie Munson is a 20-year resident of Dorchester and this is her second installation for the alien[art]cube. She is inspired by nature, and sculptor Harry Bertoia. The current installation emerged from her interest in lichen symbiosis.

Her previous installation, the Rainbow Swash Mobile, continued an enjoyable practice of honoring pioneering artist Corita Kent by painting Dorchester's gas tank stripes on objects such as white pumpkins, horseshoe crabs, and a dress.
