alienartcube

is a website gallery augementing/augmented by an live installation that is itself art and houses art.

created by paul losordo and dominique chouteau, a couple having fun with art. the display stand is a rusty metal robot walker inspired by HG Wells and The Loop. it is made from gas pipes and fittings from the hardware store, resemble an alien walker. for the head - a repurposed glass display case we weatherized. the piece is installed in our side yard on Wellesley Park and can be seen by passers by. it has interior lighting and is visible are night. the art cube is itself a work of art, with various rusty companions and servitors coming along.

inside the cube is intended as a form of gallery space. we welcome installations from artists, either purpose built or in support of an exhibition or show. please contact us for ideas. the cube is visible from the top and three sides, and is around 11”x11”x11” if you need an idea for planning. while mainly water tight, it is still an outdoor installation, subject to changes in temperature and humidity. NO originals, only copies and things you wont be afraid to lose or have come back moldy.

currently, we have three artists and would gladly consider additional. We launched with Elisa Girard’s collage work. We have Dominique Chouteau’s illustrations and book “Dorchester Stories”. We have hosted sculptures by Debbie Munson. The store has greeting cards and prints, and in the Fall, her book “Dorchester Stories”.
